Working with family friendliness?
You'll find it here with excellent employers in the Osnabrück region!

On Thursday, the Glashütte Bramsche was all about practising family friendliness: 19 companies from the city and district of Osnabrück were honoured for their special commitment to reconciling family and career. District Councillor Matthias Selle and First City Councillor Wolfgang Beckermann presented the "Family-friendly employer" certificates, which are awarded annually by the Family Alliance. Since 2017, 254 companies have already been honoured in this way.

District Administrator Anna Kebschull, joint patron of the family alliance with Mayor Katharina Pötter, opened the event with a clear appeal: family-friendly corporate policy has long been much more than a moral issue. Studies show that employees in family-friendly companies are more motivated, healthier and more loyal in the long term. "This is no coincidence, but the result of a corporate culture based on trust, appreciation and respect," emphasised Kebschull.

The varied programme was hosted by Thomas Solbrig. The improv theatre RatzFatz provided humorous impulses, while the JazzAffair duo set the musical tone. Peter Forkert, Chairman of the Family Alliance, presented the diverse activities of the network and emphasised that the certificate is far more than just a badge on the front door: "It is a promise of good framework conditions and an expression of genuine appreciation towards employees."

A panel discussion highlighted the concrete impact of family friendliness in everyday company life. Moderated by Claudia Pieper (Koordinierungsstelle Frau & Betrieb), Merve Keskin (SIEVERS-GROUP), Silvia Vogesang (Bernhard Vogelsang GmbH & Co. KG) and Frederik Heller (Envipco Automaten GmbH) reported on modern working time models, support services for parents and carers as well as new approaches to contemporary leadership. These measures not only increase job satisfaction, but also strengthen the performance of the companies.

Another highlight was the honouring of this year's ambassadors of the family alliance: energethik Ingenieurgesellschaft and SIEVERS-GROUP. Both companies impressed with their exceptional commitment and serve as inspiring role models for other companies.

By honouring the 19 companies, the Osnabrück Family Alliance is sending out a clear signal: family friendliness is a key location factor and decisive for the future viability of the region. The development in 2025, in which 48 companies have already been recertified or even received the certificate for the third time, shows that the approach has a lasting effect.

Companies can apply for the certificate again next year. Information on the process and an overview of all the companies that have been recognised can be found on the Family Alliance website:
