We offer successful integration in the Osnabrück region!
It was a long journey for Hamed Diomande from the Ivory Coast: from fleeing across the Mediterranean to a safe life as an electrician in the district of Osnabrück. Today, the 24-year-old has arrived - with a residence permit, regular work and prospects for the future. This was made possible by his own enormous efforts and the close cooperation between the MaßArbeit migration centre, the Osnabrück district immigration authority and the personnel services company PRO-LOG IV GmbH of the DEKRA Arbeit Group.

"You can only achieve this with a high level of commitment," emphasise Nadine Nuxoll and Judith Fülling from the migration centre. When Hamed came to Germany as an unaccompanied minor in 2016 after a dangerous escape, he could neither read nor write. His only professional experience came from construction sites in his grandfather's electrical workshop. Despite this, he held on to his desire to work in the electrical sector later on.
After several language courses and various jobs as a helper, the Opportunities Residence Act gave him the opportunity to obtain a regular residence permit in 2023. To do so, he had to reach language level A2 within 18 months, pass the "Living in Germany" test, integrate and find a job. "He did almost everything himself - that was a huge challenge," says Judith Fülling.
With the support of MaßArbeit, Hamed found a job as an electrician at PRO-LOG IV in the summer of 2023. For branch manager Uwe Grafe and sales scheduler Thorsten Scheidemann, he is a "stroke of luck": reliable, motivated and committed. The tradesmen in Hasbergen and Georgsmarienhütte, where he regularly works, also greatly appreciate his performance. Every morning he travels by bus to different construction sites, where he lays cables, installs sockets or smoke detectors.
In the summer of this year, he finally received the residence permit he had been waiting for in accordance with Section 25b - a milestone on his journey. For Hamed, this means one thing above all: new plans. "I want to train as an electrician later on," he says proudly.
