Training with proximity?
We have speed meetings in Dissen!

Speed meetings in Dissen bring young people and companies together directly. Anyone looking for an apprenticeship, a dual study programme or an internship should make a note of Thursday, 4 December: the popular speed meetings will once again take place at the Hermann-Freye-Gesamtschule Dissen from 3.30 to 6.30 pm.

The event is held under the motto "From the region - for the region" and is jointly organised by MaßArbeit, the comprehensive school and Regionalmanagement Südliches Osnabrücker Land. The aim is to give young people direct access to companies and encourage them to discover career prospects in their home region - a contribution that actively combats the shortage of skilled labour.

Around 35 training companies from various sectors are taking part. In 15-minute interviews, pupils get to know potential employers personally. Participation is free of charge and parents are also welcome. "We are delighted to be hosting this fantastic event," says Jan Wessels, Headmaster of Hermann Freye Comprehensive School. "This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for an apprenticeship or dual study programme to take the first step towards their professional future."

The speed meetings are being held for the fifth time in the southern district and complement the "Azubis werben Azubis" training fair, which is organised annually for younger age groups. The talks are aimed at pupils in years 9 to 13 as well as other applicants, who can register for up to three talks.

"The speed meetings show how diverse the training and study opportunities are right on our doorstep," explains Annika Witte from the School-Business Service Centre. For the young people, this means short distances and lots of opportunities, and for the companies, the chance to get to know new talents in person.
Daniel Löhner, training guide at MaßArbeit, adds: "Many young people don't know which company is right for them. The speed meetings create a relaxed atmosphere to find out exactly that."
